HOK Frost Skills and Abilities
Frozen Heart (Passive): When Frost leaves combat, she gains a frost shield that can absorb 480 (+58% Magic Power) points of damage. This shield inflicts a frost effect on physical attackers. When the shield breaks, it causes a Frost Blast to nearby enemies, dealing 480 (+58% Magic Power) points of magic damage and reducing their movement speed by 500/0 for 1 second. Frost’s third normal attack triggers 3 spikes, causing a total of 240 (+30% Magic Power) points of damage.
Frost effect: Reduces the target’s movement speed by 50% and attack speed by 35% for 2 seconds, decaying over time.
Cooldown: 0s Energy cost: 0
Tips: When the shield breaks, it will cause a Frost Blast to nearby enemies. Timely chaining skills with the passive effect of the second skill will catch the enemy off guard.
Shattered Ice (Skill 01): Frost manipulates a shattered ice crystal to burst at a designated location, causing 400/465/530/595/660/725 (+55% Magic Power) points of magic damage to enemies within range and inflicting a frost effect on them for 1 second. This also gives vision of the enemy.
Frost effect: Reduces the target’s movement speed by 50% and attack speed by 30% for 1 second.
Cooldown: 5s Energy cost: 50
Tips: This skill has a short cooldown and provides AOE damage with a slowing effect. It’s a great harassment skill during laning and before team fights, and it can increase the hit rate of Wang Zhaojun’s second skill.
Frigid Prison (Skill 02): Frost summons the power of frost in a designated area. After a short delay, enemies within range are frozen for 2.5 seconds and take 250/280/310/340/370/400 (+47% Magic Power) points of magic damage.
Passive: Frost deals an additional 150/175/200/225/250/275 (+22% Magic Power) points of magic damage to frozen enemies.
Cooldown: 8s Energy cost: 60
Tips: This skill can trigger Frost’s passive, but has a certain delay. You need to predict the opponent’s movement. Casting it after allies control the enemy can greatly improve the hit rate.
Winter is Here (Ultimate): Frost summons the power of winter to refresh the frost shield. She causes a blizzard at a designated location, inflicting 250/325/400 (+22% Magic Power) points of magic damage and a frost effect on enemies within range for 5 seconds. Frost effect: Reduces the target’s movement speed by 50% and attack speed by 30% for 1 second.
Cooldown: 35/32.5/30s Energy cost: 120
Tips: This is Frost’s most damaging skill. When cast, it grants 600 armor. As it lasts for a long time and has a large range, choosing a good position to cast it is key. The best situation is to hit as many enemies as possible, while making it difficult for them to approach.

HOK Frost Synergies
Dream builder: Zhuang Zhou’s ultimate can purify, allowing Frost’s ultimate to continue without being interrupted. Alternatively, Dreambuilder can cast his ultimate first, especially against heroes like Musashi Miyamoto or Lu Bu who can interrupt Wang Zhaojun’s ultimate, providing control protection for Frost and helping her find the perfect location to cast her ultimate.
A Ke: Wang Zhaojun’s ultimate has a large range and high damage. During team fights, it’s difficult to control all five enemies at once, or to take down semi-tank or full-tank heroes. However, it can deal widespread damage, leaving many enemies at low health. At this point, A Ke can take advantage of her passive ability to finish off enemies more effectively.
HOK Frost Counter
Han Xin: As a squishy mage, Frost is vulnerable to assassin heroes with high mobility and damage output like Han Xin.
Prince of Lanling: In team fights, Frost can take out Frost with a single combo.
Tips for Playing Against Frost:
- Dodge Frost’s harass and control skills with flexible movements.
- Use assassin heroes to target and kill Frost during team fights.
- Save your control skills to interrupt Frost when she uses her ultimate.
HOK Frost Team Fight Strategy
In team fights, as a squishy mage, Frost must pay attention to her positioning. She should stay in the backline, using her first skill for output and harassment, always watching the positioning of enemy assassin heroes and maintaining a safe distance.
She should use her second skill to control as many enemies as possible, then pair it with her first skill and ultimate to deal significant damage. The positioning for Frost’s ultimate is crucial and needs careful consideration.
