His kit allows him to excel in duels and skirmishes, making him a formidable opponent in the solo lane.
An effective equipment build for Allain should focus on maximizing his burst damage potential, enhancing his mobility to allow for effective engagements and retreats, and increasing his survivability so he can sustain longer in fights. Items that provide attack damage, cooldown reduction, and life steal are crucial for Allain to maintain his presence in lane and team fights.
Allain’s target focus and mobility make him a relentless chaser and finisher. This Guides covers Allain abilities, skill order, combo, optimal builds, counters and Battle Tips.

Allain Skills and Abilities
Howling Blade (Passive): Allain’s normal attack speed is extremely fast, hitting twice with “Twin Sword Shadow” and “Guardian Heart,” dealing 1644 (scaling with level) (+29% physical attack) magic damage and 1644 (scaling with level) (+29% physical attack) physical damage. The first attack tracks the target, and the third attack swings both swords, dealing 3072 (scaling with level) (+43% physical attack) true damage, followed by a longer attack interval. Normal attacks and skill hits on enemy heroes accumulate rage, increasing Allain’s physical and magic penetration by 40% and damage reduction by 20%. When rage is fully stacked, it instantly recovers 80164 (scaling with level) (+50% physical attack) health, more recovery at lower health, up to 3x, with an 8-second cooldown. Allain’s physical lifesteal is 75% effective and applies to magic and true damage. Allain’s normal attacks only have 60% orb effect efficiency.
Meteor Kill (Skill 01): Allain’s launches upward, dealing 85/102/119/136/153/170 (+37% physical attack) magic damage and two instances of 85/102/119/136/153/170 (+37% physical attack) physical damage, knocking up the target for 0.75 seconds, then adding attacks based on his mark layers.
Moonlight Flash (Skill 02): Allain’s dashes in a direction, dealing 100/120/140/160/180/200 (+25% physical attack) physical and magic damage to enemies in his path, reducing their speed by 30% for 1.5 seconds, and increasing his own speed by 10/12/14/16/18/20% for 3 seconds. The next three normal attacks gain an additional 40/48/56/64/72/80% attack speed. This skill can be prepared every 10 seconds (affected by cooldown), storing up to 2 dashes.
Death at Sunset (Ultimate): Allain’s targets an enemy hero, becomes untargetable for 1.5 seconds while moving, then slams down dealing 175/250/325 (+45% physical attack) physical and magic damage, with damage increasing the closer the enemy is to Yalian, up to 100%. Hitting enemy heroes grants mark layers and rage. Yalian also provides a shield to allies or himself based on the targeted faction, increasing with each enemy hero hit.
Allain Combo Sequence
Initiate with “Death at Sunset,” followed by “Moonlight Flash,” then two normal attacks. Continue with two more normal attacks, “Moonlight Flash” again, and finish with “Meteor Kill.” Utilize the ultimate skill to initiate or counterattack by becoming untargetable, then exploit the high attack speed after skill 2 to quickly stack skill 1 layers and eliminate the enemy.
Allain Teammates
- The ultimate can synchronize with Lan’s initiation.
- Nuwa’s shields and control provide Yalian substantial survivability and damage output.
Allain Counter
- Sima Yi’s strong burst can quickly defeat Yalian when his rage is low.
- Marco Polo’s mobility makes it difficult for Yalian to close in.
Counter Techniques
Detail 1: Sima Yi has strong burst capabilities and can quickly defeat Allain when his rage is insufficient.
Detail 2: Marco Polo’s mobility allows him to keep Allain at bay, making it difficult for Yalian to approach.
Technique Tips
- When the enemy escapes the range of skill 1, use skills 2 and 3 to interrupt skill 1’s activation.
- Avoid prolonged direct confrontations with Yalian; maintaining distance and kiting are effective strategies.
- Use the ultimate to initiate or counter, then quickly stack skill 1 layers with the high attack speed after skill 2 to eliminate enemies.
Gameplay Techniques
Detail 1: When an enemy escapes the range of skill 1, it can be interrupted by using skill 2 or 3 to stop skill 1’s activation.
Detail 2: When rage is fully stacked, it will instantly recover a portion of health, making it easy to turn the tables on an enemy with low health.
