Liang Skills and Abilities
Power Word- Trance (Passive): When Zhang Liang deals two consecutive basic attack or skill damages to any enemy within 1.5 seconds, the interval between these two damages is considered as “continuous attack state”. For every 1.2 seconds accumulated in this state, the enemy will sustain an additional 100 (+50% magic power) points of true damage, which increases by 10 points with each hero level.
Cooldown: 0s Cost: 0
Tips: Maintaining a certain attack frequency on any enemy to inflict additional damage is the core objective, effectively “holding the enemy down”.
Power Word – Barrier (Skill 01): Zhang Liang summons four parallel magic barriers with word spirit magic, causing enemies who touch the barriers to suffer 400/450/500/550/600/650 (+75% magic power) magic damage, be stunned for 0.75 seconds followed by a 50% slow for 0.5 seconds, and breaking the barrier. Damage decreases by 50% for enemies who touch the barriers again, without the stun effect but still slowing by 50% for 1.25 seconds.
Cooldown: 11/10.6/10.2/9.8/9.4/9s Cost: 80
Tips: A short-range hard control skill mainly used to block enemy movement, effective for both capturing enemies and escaping. With practice, it can be used as a strong initiating skill.
Power Word – Fate (Skill 02) Zhang Liang summons an eroding magic circle with word spirit magic, dealing 120/144/168/192/216/240 (+17% magic power) magic damage every 0.5 seconds to an enemy within it, while up to two circles can exist simultaneously (circles deal an additional 50% damage to minions and jungle monsters). Circles recharge every 12 seconds (affected by cooldown reduction), up to 3 charges, each lasting 5.5 seconds. Zhang Liang gains 60 movement speed within the circle, which also provides vision.
Cooldown: 2s Cost: 80
Tips: The skill lacks control but has a large range and high sustained output, requiring prediction of enemy movements and using other skills to keep enemies within its range. The ability to place two circles consecutively covers a wide area, preventing enemies from escaping the attack range.
Power Word- Control (Ultimate) Zhang Liang uses word spirit magic to grasp an enemy hero for 2.2 seconds, dealing 120/150/180 (+15% magic power) magic damage every 0.5 seconds while suppressing them. After fully casting, a magic area is created beneath the target, dealing 240/300/360 (+30% magic power) magic damage and stunning enemies within it for 0.75 seconds.
Cooldown: 50/45/40s Cost: 130
Tips: The damage is not high, but the skill’s long control duration combined with the second skill’s damage can often secure kills. When coordinated with high-damage allies, the kill probability significantly increases.
Liang Best Partners
- Zhang Liang’s initiating ability and long-duration control provide Hou Yi with an environment to stick to enemies and continuously output damage.
- The combination of Zhang Liang and Bai Qi’s ultimate can create a long chain of control, creating opportunities for Zhang Liang’s second skill and teammates to output damage.
Liang Counter
Zhang Liang lacks long-range burst and mobility, at a disadvantage against opponents with high burst damage in both trading and evasion.
Opponents with instant mobility can easily evade Zhang Liang’s magical fields from his first and second skills.
Liang Usage Tips
- Zhang Liang effectively stacks curses to inflict true damage.
- Possesses numerous control skills with strong single-target control capabilities.
- Practice casting the first skill. Direct hits can serve as a strong initiating control skill.
- Enemies hitting the first skill still suffer damage and slowing effects, so laying the skill vertically on the enemy’s path can be effective. Additionally, the first skill can be used to scout bushes.
Tactics
- If enduring continuous output from Zhang Liang, briefly distancing to interrupt his output can deactivate his passive skill.
- Maintain high health before Zhang Liang uses his ultimate.
Team Fight Strategy
Utilize initiating abilities to capitalize on enemy formation mistakes to start fights. Alternatively, play defensively, covering most enemies with two uses of the second skill after a team fight begins, and use the first skill to separate enemy front and back lines, disrupting the enemy backline’s output.
